This explains what personal information viio collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it to what we need to answer enquiries and run your training.

Who we are

viio provides first aid training. We are responsible for (the “controller” of) the personal information described here. If you have any questions about it, email hello@viiotraining.co.uk or call 020 8087 1456.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website: your email address, your name if you give it, the course you're interested in, the months that suit you, roughly how many people, and where you'd like the training.
When you call or email us: whatever you choose to tell us, such as your contact details and your organisation's training needs.
When you book a course: the names and contact details of the people attending, and any details our awarding body needs to register learners and issue certificates.
When you visit this website: our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and protect the site.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry and arrange training.
To deliver your course, register learners for their qualification and send certificates.
To remind you before certificates are due to expire, so you can requalify in time. You can ask us to stop at any time.
To keep the financial records the law requires.

We don't send marketing emails unless you've agreed to them, and we never sell your information.

Our lawful reasons

Contract: to arrange and deliver the training you ask for.
Legitimate interests: to answer enquiries, keep training records and send renewal reminders.
Legal obligation: to keep financial and certification records.

Who we share it with

Only with organisations that help us provide our service:

Qualsafe Awards, our awarding body, to register learners and issue regulated certificates.
FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which delivers the website's enquiry form to our inbox.
Netlify, which hosts this website.
Our email provider, which stores the emails we send and receive.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards they put in place to protect it as UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
Training and certificate records: for as long as our awarding body requires, and to remind you about renewals.
Financial records: as long as the law requires, normally six years.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
correct anything that's wrong;
delete your information, or stop using it, where we don't need to keep it;
stop sending you renewal reminders or any other messages.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
